Thanks Donovan for this Christmas present! I returned home late in the evening to a mysterious package on my desk. What a surprise - what a gift! 1990 Pacific Senior League wax pack - graded by PSA. On the back is card #126. Jim Nettles' A-Hole card. Love it! It's a nice companion to this PSA 10 (also from Donovan)....

8-Bit Christmas Movie and the FF
I received a couple tips last week. The new movie 8-Bit Christmas mentions the FF! About an hour into it, they show the main characters sifting through baseball cards from the late '80s. The "Greatest error card of all time". Available on HBO Max.

Weird FF x 2
I picked up a oddball FF Saw-Cut card about a year ago. It has multiple overlapping cuts slanted to the left. This week, I found another one! Nearly identical. Both even have the oddball yellow swirl on the jersey. Weirdness x 2.

Article from 1989 on eBay
I saw this article from January 20th, 1989 (and card) listed on eBay over the weekend. Unfortunately the picture only shows about 80% of the Boston Herald clipping. Still fun to see.

New Pickup June 2021 - Rack Pack
Always like picking up rack packs with factory saw-cut cards on top. This is a nice FF version on the middle pack with the slit going through the jersey #7. Chuck Crim is underneath.

Fakes everywhere - Beware!
I report all of these to (popular online resale e-place) but nothing ever gets done.
The "Whiteouts" are too easy to make. The same few sellers are creating these and unloading them all the time. Turning a 50 cent card into $50-$100. Check their feedback! Selling dozens and dozens of these is a RED FLAG!
The "White Scribble" reprints starting appearing a few years ago. No notations on them noting "Reprint" or "Fake". Sure enough - now they keep popping up for sale as Original. The fakes/reprints lately have been obvious to spot. The yellowish knob is the real giveaway.
Buyer beware!

Black Scribble w/ Loop Sawcut pickup
New pickup for 2021. It's a lower grade Black Scribble w/ Loop that has a factory sawcut. Nothing special. Creased and dirty. Cheap addition. The sawcut is under the knob of the bat. I didn't have that version with that cut location - so why not? Something new and different.

1990 Pacific Senior League Jim Nettles
Found an article from around 2010 covering the 1990 Pacific Jim Nettles A$$ Hole card.
This card can be found with 3 (maybe 4) versions.
The AH version, Glossy partially corrected, Regular fully corrected and a print defect that has the regular corrected version missing the upper horizontal black line under the yellow stars. I also got one autographed several years ago.

Whiteouts and a card from Frank Mustin
I acquired an odd card last year and decided to do a write-up about it. I posted in under the 'Fleer' tab and labeled it 'Frank Mustin'
Four cut corners, white mark created by an eraser? and handwriting on it. Frank Mustin was the head of Fleer in 1989 and this card came from his estate following his death in 2018. Could this help explain the mysterious Whiteout variation?
